Meet the Babcock Law Firm’s newest attorney working on the behalf of injured workers in Colorado

Growing up in Topeka, Kansas, David Vogel decided at an early age to pursue a career in the law. He earned a Bachelor of Arts in political science and industrial labor relations with an emphasis in pre-law from Kansas State University in 1993.

Upon graduating for Kansas State, David began his legal studies at the Drake University Law School in Des Moines, Iowa where he placed highly in the appellate oral argument competition and held officer positions in the Labor and Employment Law Society. During law school, David also clerked for law firms in Des Moines and Topeka.

Graduating with honors in 1997, David became licensed to practice law in Kansas and worked for two well known insurance defense firms in Wichita. He specialized in the fields of workers’ compensation, personal injury, labor and employment, federal civil rights and insurance coverage matters. He also practiced in the fields of workers’ compensation and construction law for a number of years in Topeka.

Working as an insurance defense attorney for so many years gave David unique insight into how insurance companies treat accident victims, whether in the workplace or elsewhere. Unsatisfied with being aligned with large corporate entities that too often frustrate the efforts of injured workers’ to obtain just compensation, David joined the Babcock Law Firm in October, 2009 so he could represent the interests of injured individuals.

The Babcock Law Firm’s newest workers’ compensation attorney holds active law licenses in Colorado and Kansas and is also licensed to argue cases before the Federal District Court in Colorado and Kansas along with the Tenth Circuit Court of Appeals. He is a member of the Colorado Trial Lawyers Association, the Denver Bar Association and the Colorado Bar Association.

David lives in Denver with his wife and two children and is an avid bicyclist and enthusiast of many great attractions in the Denver area.
