Colorado Workers’ Compensation Educational Conference

Colorado’s workers’ compensation agency is holding its first annual workers’ compensation educational conference this September 16th and 17th in Denver…the conference will be held in cooperation with the International Workers’ Compensation Foundation according to Colorado workers’ comp director Bob Summers.

The conference’s primary goal is to educate participants in the Colorado workers’ compensation system on current statutory and case law, rules, procedures and forms and to foster a discussion among the conference attendees.

All stakeholders in the system are encouraged to attend, including: employers, worker representatives, medical providers and their office staff, insurance claims professionals, self-insurers, third-party insurers and attorneys for both claimants and defendants along with their paralegals.

The conference will include an exhibit hall with booths along with informative presentations and workshops from the workers’ comp experts at the Colorado Division of Workers’ Compensation.

Save the date and check back with us once we know the venue the event will be held in…all we know at this time is that it will be held in the Denver area.

For any questions, you can contact JoAnne Ibarra from the Colorado DWC at (303) 318-8790 or by email at joanne.ibarra@state.co.us.
