Marirose Bernal
Paralegal
Marirose Bernal, born and raised in Pueblo, Colorado, brings a diverse background to her role as a paralegal at Babcock Tucker. She majored in English and community agriculture at Regis University, with a minor in Sculpture. Her eclectic career path includes experiences as a science teacher, farmer, forklift driver, and coder before finding her calling in the legal field.
Marirose’s interest in becoming a paralegal was sparked by a desire to ensure fair treatment for individuals, particularly in workers’ compensation and personal injury law. Her passion for standing up for individuals against larger companies was ignited during a mock jury trial she participated in while working as a forklift driver. Realizing her knack for handling and synthesizing large amounts of information, she began taking night classes to earn a paralegal certificate.
In her role at Babcock Tucker, Marirose talks to clients daily, opens cases, files motions and pleadings, and collects and organizes data. She deeply respects the firm’s attorneys, Mack Babcock and Stephanie Tucker, for their devotion to achieving the best outcomes for their clients and their genuine commitment to their work. Marirose admires their big hearts, mentorship, and the fact that they are driven by outcomes rather than profit.
Outside of work, Marirose enjoys the vibrant swing and country dancing spots in Denver. Her interests include rock climbing, playing volleyball, screenprinting, and exploring the city. She credits her former boss, mentor, and friend, Melissa Nix, as a significant influence on her life. Melissa’s dedication to improving the state of the world and her unwavering commitment to justice inspire Marirose to work hard, be honest, and thoughtfully consider the challenges others face.

Kensington Holman
Paralegal
Kensington Holman, a Denver native, brings a wealth of knowledge and a deep passion for the law to Babcock Tucker. She holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in political science with a minor in pre-law from Colorado State University, where she excelled academically, earning a spot on the Dean’s List and graduating ahead of schedule.
Kensington’s journey into the legal field began with her role as a legal assistant at a criminal defense firm, where she gained invaluable experience and insight into the intricacies of legal practice. Driven by her aspiration to attend law school, she sought real-world experience to better understand the practical aspects of law, particularly in workers’ compensation and personal injury – fields that resonate with her due to personal experiences. This connection enables her to empathize deeply with clients navigating challenging circumstances, making her a true asset to the team.
At Babcock Tucker, Kensington works closely with Stephanie M. Tucker, Esq., providing dedicated paralegal support to ensure clients receive the attention their cases deserve. She is also actively involved with the Workers’ Injury Law & Advocacy Group (WILG), continually seeking ways to enhance her professional growth and contribute to the legal community.
Kensington values the boutique nature of Babcock Tucker, which allows the team to focus on their areas of practice and dedicate significant time to each case. She appreciates the hardworking and compassionate environment fostered by the firm and feels privileged to collaborate with such talented individuals.
Outside of her professional life, Kensington enjoys the vibrant food scene around the Denver Tech Center (DTC) area. Her interests include hosting her book club, going on walks, attending concerts and live shows, knitting, painting, playing the piano, and exploring new restaurants and coffee shops with friends.
Naim Khalighi
Paralegal
Naim Khalighi, a Denver native, brings his passion for helping others navigate complex systems to his role as a paralegal at Babcock Tucker. He earned his Bachelor of Arts degree in Sociology from the University of Colorado in Denver. Before joining the legal field, Naim worked in healthcare and as an escrow assistant, where he found fulfillment in guiding clients through intricate processes and ensuring their needs were met with care and precision.
Naim’s decision to become a paralegal was driven by his long-term goal of attending law school and becoming an attorney. What began as a step toward that goal has evolved into a deeply rewarding experience. He finds great satisfaction in assisting clients through the overwhelming processes of workers’ compensation and personal injury claims. Naim feels fortunate to learn from two of Colorado’s top claimant attorneys, Mack Babcock and Stephanie Tucker, whose mentorship has only reinforced his passion for advancing in the legal profession.
In his role at Babcock Tucker, Naim is involved in all aspects of client support, working closely with individuals who are facing some of the most challenging moments in their lives. He values the firm’s boutique approach, which allows the team to build meaningful relationships with clients and provide them with the personalized attention they deserve. Naim is also a member of the Workers’ Injury Law & Advocacy Group (WILG), where he is continually expanding his professional knowledge and involvement in the legal community.
Outside of work, Naim enjoys spending time with his family, especially his three dogs, Bruno, Ezra, and Theo. As a proud Colorado native, he loves exploring all that the state has to offer and treasures the balance between his professional and personal life.
