Being recognized by your legal peers is a true honor in our profession. So when a prestigious publication adds us to one of their elite lists, we feel quite humbled that others feel we can deliver good representation to our clients.
Recently, both Jason Harms and myself (..Mack Babcock) were honored to be named to Super Lawyers’ Rising Stars list for 2012. This is the second time I’ve been included on this prestigious list for younger attorneys and the first time for my associate, Jason Harms. Only attorneys under 40 or who have been practicing for 10 years or less are included.
Super Lawyers is an attorney-led evaluation and listing service. For its Rising Stars list, an attorney-led research team evaluates each nominee (…who must be recommended by a fellow attorney) and assigns points. These points are added up and those with the highest totals are added to the Rising Stars list.
Attorneys submitting a nomination must have observed the nominee in open court – be it as a co-counsel, opposing counsel or witness.
Only 2.5% of attorneys in each state the list is developed in are included on the list.
Aside from Colorado, Super Lawyers develops its Rising Stars list in California, Georgia, Massachusetts, Pennsylvania and Texas. The publication evaluates attorneys in over 70 legal areas in 36 states. Injured workers and others refer to Super Lawyers publications to find quality representation for their case.
It’s certainly humbling that our legal colleagues in the Denver area feel we’re of this caliber…both Jason and I graduated from the University of Denver and have extensive experience in the Colorado legal system. We’re both licensed to practice in Colorado and before federal courts here in the state.
And both Jason and I are deeply committed to represent the interests of injured workers and accident victims.
