Now retired, for years Jan helped guide our clients step-by-step through the entire workers’ compensation & personal injury process
While it’s easy to think law firms only include attorneys, in reality there are many people behind the scenes who make quality legal representation possible.
For years, Jan Addams was one of our “behind the scenes” heroes at Babcock Tucker and served as our firm’s Practice Manager. Though she’s now retired, Jan has been an integral part of our law firm from the beginning and she still occasionally assists our team.
Giving a warm welcome to clients wasn’t Jan’s only role. She also helped our workers’ compensation and personal injury attorneys schedule and prepare for cases. In addition, she managed the day-to-day affairs of running our law firm, handling everything from purchasing, office system management and processing, to human resources, scheduling and accounting.
Jan is now looking forward to retirement after an impressive career set of personal and professional credentials, including graduating cum laude from Northwestern University in Business Management.
Northwestern is one of the nation’s most prestigious institutions, with Supreme Court Associate Justice John Paul Stevens and actor Charlton Heston among its list of distinguished alumni. On top of her impressive alma mater, Jan brought a diverse background of administrative experience to bear at Babcock Tucker.
While Jan will be dearly missed by the Babcock Tucker team, rest assured that your workers’ compensation or personal injury case will still be handled with the utmost attention to detail and professionalism.
